Brent Taylor

President, Timewise Event Management Inc. (Producer of GO WEST)

Brent is President of Timewise Event Management and its subsidiary Event Technology Solutions. He makes his home in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada where he is married and a proud father of four kids who are moving through their teenage years.

He has been working for 28 years in the meetings and events industry, as both a planner and supplier. Brent was recently selected as Event Professional of the Year by the 2018 Canadian Event Industry Awards and was named in the Top 500 People in the Events Industry by BizBash.

A life-changing moment for Brent was when he first volunteered with the Greater Edmonton Chapter of Meeting Professionals International in 2006. He loves to tell his personal story of volunteering and how it opened doors to so many national and international opportunities. He recently completed a three-year term on MPI’s International Board of Directors.

Contribution is Brent’s greatest achievement. He is forever looking for ways to develop everything he touches and to help others find greater success. Brent and his team founded several initiatives to bring the events industry together. Their most notable being GO WEST which in just 3 years has grown to become one of Canada’s largest annual gatherings of event professionals, attracting participants from across Canada, the USA and Europe.
