PROVIDING CULINARY LEADERSHIP
Under the leadership of Executive Chef Serge Belair and Executive Pastry Chef Jason Wang, 60% of food suppliers used by the centre are local growers and producers—injecting $550,000 back into the local economy. As a responsible leader, the venue partners with Edmonton Food Bank to donate excess meals and in 2018, they donated 5,288 meals to the Second Helping Program. With one of Canada’s busiest and largest commercial kitchens, the culinary team of 11 Red Seal chefs and 30 cooks welcomes the opportunity to present farm-to-table fine dining on every plate.
LARGEST BUILDING-INTEGRATED SOLAR INSTALLATION
Recognized as an industry leader for its sustainability program, the Edmonton Convention Centre is currently undergoing the largest building-integrated photovoltaic (solar cell) installation in Canada as part of their long-term sustainability initiative.
